Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am, on Saturday, July 6, 2013, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for John Lamar Wiltz, 61, who passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Friday, and continue on Saturday at 7:00 am until 10:00 am. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm on Friday. Rev. Peter Emusa will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Cherelle Wiltz, John Lamar Williams-Wiltz, Jr., and Bryson Richard. Gift Bearers will be Caleb, Marli, and Rylii Goodie, and Sanaii Mitchell. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery in St. Martinville. John had over 30 years of service as a professional truck driver in the oil and gas and agricultural industries and was currently employed by Concentric Pipe and Tool Rentals since 2001. He was an active member of the Knights of Peter Claver and the 'No Limit Posse Bike Riders Association.' Johns 'No. 1' priority in life was being a good father. His hobbies included spending quality time with his family, especially hanging with friends, fishing, driving trucks and last but not least, having his drinks. He loved seeing and making sure the people he cared about were taken care of. He is survived by his beloved son, John Lamar (fiance, Marcia Richard) Williams-Wiltz of Breaux Bridge; his companion of 18 years, Dorothy Goodie of Cecilia; his stepson, Marlon (Peaches) Goodie of Cecilia; the mother of his son, Consuella "Connie" Williams; three step grandchildren, Caleb, Marli, and Rilii Goodie; his sister, Christine "Kissie" Wiltz-Richard of St. Martinville; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Lorraine Dauphine Wiltz; his brother, Anthony Timothy Wiltz, Sr.; his sister, Rene Antoinette Wiltz; and sister-in-law, Sandra Martin Wiltz. Pallbearers will be John Lamar Williams-Wiltz, Walter Richard, Jr., Travis Wiltz, Anthony Timothy Wiltz, Jr., Ronald Francis, and Lorenzo Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Reginald Boutte, Charles Wiltz, Sr., Charles Robertson, Sr., Joseph Wiltz, Sr., Joseph Wiltz, Jr., Reginald Hill, Jr., Mark Wiltz, Lawrence Phillips, Donovan Goodie, Marlon Goodie, Al Williams, Walter Richard, Sr., Allen Benjamin, Lawrence Celestine, Jamey Lewis, Ernest Glover, Sr., and Dr. Daniel Wiltz. The family wishes to thank Concentric Pipe and Tool Rentals for the years of working with him, the Baker-Hughes Team, all the medical staff at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center, and the office staff of Dr. Daniel Wiltz.
