Johnny Tauzin

Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, June 14, 2005, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia for Johnny Al "Canoe" Tauzin, 54, who died Sunday, June 12, 2005, at his residence in Breaux Bridge. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Mr. Tauzin enjoyed spending his time cooking and loved being with people. It gave him great joy to make others laugh. Survivors include his daughter, Jessica Tauzin; his son, Joel Tauzin, both of Arnaudville, LA; his loving companion Betty Melancon of Breaux Bridge; four step-sons, Shannon and Brian Theriot of Breaux Bridge, Tucker Huval of Breaux Bridge and Jody Franklin of Pecaniere,; one granddaughter, Natalie Ann Dauphinet; and three step grandchildren, Skylee, Allie and Katie Theriot. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Marie Quebedeaux Tauzin, Sr., a brother Albert Tauzin, Jr.; and a sister Ethel "Tit" Huval. The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 9:00AM on Tuesday until time of the services. A rosary will be recited at 10:00AM Tuesday morning. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
