New Iberia - Funeral Services will be at 3:00 PM, on Sunday, September 9, 2007, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in New Iberia, for Jorsay L. "Jay" Faulk, 81, who passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2007, in New Iberia.
Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in New Iberia.
Deacon Theo Landry will officate the services.
Mr. Faulk is the retired owner of Faulk's Auto Service and JLF Equipment. He proudly served our country in the US Navy, during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion, a lifetime member of the of the VFW, and a member and past president of the Independent Garage Owners Association. Mr. Faulk enjoyed hunting, camping, and gardening.
He is survived by his children, Phil Faulk and wife Christine of Loreauville, Dana Faulk of New Iberia, Charlene Montgomery of New Iberia, Carolyn Buchanan of El Paso; his companion of 21 years, Gloria Richard of New Iberia; daughter-in-law, Susan Faulk of Broussard; sisters, Eva Richard of Lafayette, Laura Hebenicht of Everett, WA; 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Faulk; sons, Byron Faulk and Craig Faulk; parents, Clomor and Emile Frederick Faulk; great grandson, Christopher J. Faulk; sister, Olite Comeaux; brothers, Raoul, Eldes, Preston, Wilson, Lloyd, and Dunis Faulk.
A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, from 2:30 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, in New Iberia. A rosary will be Saturday at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue Sunday from 8:00 AM until time of service.
