Lafayette - A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at Crossroads Church in Lafayette for Joseph Albert, 81, who passed away on Monday, May 16, 2022, at River Oaks Retirement Manor.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Crossroads Church, 150 Verona Drive, Lafayette, LA 70507, from 10:00 am until time of service on Thursday.

Pastor Jeff Ables will officiate at the Memorial Service.

Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette.

Joseph was born January 24, 1941. He worked as a hot-shot truck driver for many years. He attended Crosswords Church and was very strong in his faith. He will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his daughter, Annette Albert; son, Chad Blanchard; sisters, Adele “Dee” Albert and Emily Albert LeBlanc; brother, Antoine "PeeWee" Albert, Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Antoine Albert, Sr.; mother, Lula Mae Castille; sister, Elisa Bernard; and brothers, Emick "T-Boy" Castille and John "Brada" Albert.
