Joseph Weston Pom-pooh Chilly Ambrose, Jr. Parks - Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, on Saturday, June 20, 2015, at St. Louis Chapel in Parks, for Joseph Weston Ambrose, Jr., 74, who passed away on Friday, June 12, 2015, at St. Agnes Healthcare & Rehab Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at St. Louis Chapel in Parks from 8:00 am until 9:30 am on Saturday. A rosary will be prayed at 8:30 am on Saturday. Rev. Donavon Labbe will officiate at the Funeral Service. Gift Bearers will be Macy Ambrose and Crannon Charles. Scripture readers will be Macy Ambrose, Megan Berard and Michelle Mason. Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge. Joseph was a member of the Stone Junkie Softball Team, Parks Hardball Baseball Team, and St. Louis Catholic Church in Parks. Pom-pooh enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing baseball, playing cards at the stand called T-Garee and visiting family and friends. He will be remembered for the kindness he portrayed to others and that continual desire to keep up with the current baseball teams. He is survived by his brothers, Joseph Alton Ambrose of Parks and Joseph Calvin Ambrose and his wife, Sheila H. Ambrose of St. Martinville. He is preceded in death by his father, Weston Joseph Ambrose, Sr.; his mother, Angella Narcisse Ambrose; his wife, Irma Jean Sylvester Ambrose; his brother, Julius Ambrose; his sister, Mary Ethel Ambrose; nine aunts, six uncles and his maternal grandparents, Paul Narcisse and Lodie Mekael Davis Narcisse; and his paternal grandparents, Charlie and Lucy Ambrose. Pallbearers will be Jordan Potier, Ryan Charles, Bryan Sampy, Terence Dauphine, Crannon Charles, and Damien Wilson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joseph Alton Ambrose, Joseph Calvin Ambrose, Earl Berard, Stone Junkie's, Darrell Sampy, Ira Wilson, Thomas Ambrose, Preston Hardy, Carol Sylvester, Joseph Sylvester, Calvin Sylvester and Harold Narcisse.
