Joseph James Auguillard

Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cecilia for Joseph James Auguillard, 68, who passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018, at The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:00 am until 10:00 am. A rosary will be prayed at 8:00 am on Wednesday. Rev. Neil Pettit will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cecilia. Joseph was born in Arnaudville to Lula Mae and the late Nelson Auguillard. He loved hunting, fishing, and working on cars. If someone mentioned hunting or fishing, his eyes would light up with joy and off they went. Joseph had a love for animals and enjoyed his Zydeco music. Joseph was a faithful parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church where he attended Mass weekly. He will be remembered for his generosity, kindness, and his infectious smile. Joseph will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Anna Chevalier Auguillard; son, Curtis Auguillard and wife Melanie of Houston, TX.; daughter, Nicole Auguillard of Arnaudville; mother, Lula Mae Provost Auguillard; brother, Paul Auguillard and wife Alice; sisters, Nellie Peltier and husband Oliver, Mary Alice Fuselier and husband Edgar Lee, Louise Simon and husband Donald, and Amelia Auguillard. He was preceded in death by his father, Nelson Auguillard, nephew, Kevin Robicheaux, twin sister, Mary Jean Robicheaux and sister, Louella Lemelle. Pallbearers will be Oliver Peltier, Chris Robicheaux, Jonnell Peltier, David Payton, Nelson Auguillard, and Mister Lemelle. Honorary pallbearers will be Jasmine Fuselier, Edgar Lee Fuselier, William Chevalier, George Payton, Earl Chevalier, Raymond Auguillard, Russell Jean Batiste, Edward Chevalier Sr., and Paul Auguillard.
