Joseph Lowell Auguillard

Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Saturday, December 9, 2017, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cecilia for Joseph Lowell Auguillard, 75, who passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at Lafayette General Southwest. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 7:00 am until 10:00 am on Saturday, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge. A rosary will be prayed at 8:30 am on Saturday. Rev. Joseph Campion will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Gift bearers will be his grandchildren. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cecilia. Joseph enjoyed going to the casino; the sounds of the machines would bring a twinkle of excitement into his eyes. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends. Joseph always encouraged his children and grandchildren to get a good education, go to college and follow their dreams. He is survived by his son, Kirk J. Auguillard of Lafayette; his daughters, Annette Washington of Lafayette and Jeanette Auguillard of Leonville; his grandchildren, Anjessica Washington, Brian Auguillard, Brandon Auguillard, Tori Guidry, Malcolm Washington, Jr., and Justin and Julien Batiste; and his brother, Leroy Auguillard, Sr. of Duson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Auguillard; his companion of 17 years, Mrs. Irene Charles; his parents, Antoine and Margaret Chevalier Auguillard; his brothers, Anthony Auguillard and Lawrence Auguillard; and sisters, Emma Rita Auguillard and Theresa Fuselier. Pallbearers will be Donald Lee Babineaux, Demetrius Batiste Sr., Kevin Batiste, Michael Howard, RoShawn Pete, and Anthony Rubin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kirk Auguillard, Leroy Auguillard, Sr., Nicholas Borel, and Cory Dugas.
