Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Monday, November 26, 2018, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cecilia for Joseph "Pado" Wilbert Chevalier, 75, who passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2018.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:30 am until 10:30 am on Monday.
A rosary will be prayed at 9:00 am on Monday.
Rev. Gregory Cormier will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Karen Chevalier Jean and Melanie Auguillard. Gift Bearers will be Jacqueline Chevalier and Laura Roberts.
Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cecilia.
Joseph was a devout Catholic and attended mass regularly. He enjoyed watching all sports and spending time with his family and friends. Joseph will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his brothers, William Chevalier and wife Kathleen of Arnaudville, and Earl Chevalier and wife Joann of New Orleans; and sisters, Anna Auguillard of Cecilia, and Lou Anna Angelle and husband Jeff of Lafayette.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and Editha Roberts Chevalier, Sr.; and brothers, Clifton Chevalier, Jr. and Whitney John Chevalier, Sr.
Pallbearers will be Curtis Auguillard, Eric Chevalier, Troy Chevalier, Whitney Chevalier Jr., Kevin Chevalier, and Earl Chevalier Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be William Chevalier, Ezebe Chevalier, Roland Chevalier, George Payton, David Payton, Jeff Angelle, Edwin Gordon and Earl Chevalier Sr.
