Arnaudville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 8, 2021, at St. John Regis Francis in Arnaudville for Joseph Edwards, 88, who passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2021. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:00 am until 10:30 on Saturday. A rosary will be prayed at 9:30 am on Saturday. Rev. Travis Abadie will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Joseph enjoyed playing Bingo, fishing, and making cracklins and boudin. In his spare time, he loved watching westerns, especially "Gunsmoke". He also enjoyed farming and gardening and provided some of the best and tastiest cucumbers to his family and friends. He is survived by his sons, Joseph "John" Edwards (Mary Sylvester) and Preston Edwards (Linda); daughter, Olivia "Mary" Edwards; and a host of grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lola S. Edwards; parents, Preston and Aline Reed Edwards; daughters, Barbara Seola Edwards, Barbara Ann Edwards, and Joyce Ann Edwards; and sisters, Hilda Edwards, Olivia Edwards, and "Tootsie" Edwards.
