Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Joseph Edwin Faucheaux, 87, who died Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Interment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1 in Breaux Bridge.
Mr. Faucheaux was 1st term Army National Guard for four years and served during World War II in Europe for four years. On August 13, 1945 he started his 2nd term with the Army National Guard. He was a member of the American Legion Post 133, the V.F.W., and the Woodmen of the World for 50 years. He was a parishioner at St. Bernard Catholic Church and served as an usher for over 50 years, and was also a volunteer fireman with the Breaux Bridge Volunteer Fire Company for many years.
Survivors include his son, Phillip Faucheaux and his wife, Marie of Van Nuys, CA; his daughters, Mary Ann Angelle of Breaux Bridge, Margret Faucheaux, Rosanna Faucheaux, both of Van Nuys, CA, and Elaine F. Ruble and her husband, Roger of Kettering, OH; his brother, George Faucheaux of Lake Charles; his sister, Levie Sonnier of Breaux Bridge; ten grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Zilda Marie Faucheaux; and his parents; and his son-in-law, Bobby Ray Angelle
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:00 a.m. ~ 10:00 p.m. on Monday and continue at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday until time of service.
A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday evening.
