New Iberia - Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM, on Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in New Iberia, for Joseph Phillip Fuselier, 47, who passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at Iberia General Medical Center.
Internment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery in New Iberia.
Deacon Rev. Mr. John Sarkies will conduct the funeral service.
Phillip was a successful businessman and was the owner and operator of Accurate Weldment Testing, Inc. at the Port of Iberia. He loved spending time with family, friends, his loving wife of 8 years, Nancy, and his dog, Maggie Mae. He was the proud owner and took great joy in maintaining his "67 Chevelle." Phillip was an avid fisherman who enjoyed entertaining people. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the honor of working with and knowing him.
Survivors include his wife Nancy H. Fuselier, of New Iberia; his son, Joseph D. Fuselier, of New Iberia; his daughter, Marie D. Broussard, of New Orleans; his mother, Berline Ardoin Fuselier, of Eunice; three brothers, James "Jimmy" Fuselier, of Mamou, Pete Fuselier, of Lafayette, and Robert Fuselier, of Orange, TX; and two sisters, Debbie Granger, of Portland, TX, and Pat Moorhead, of Rutledge, GA.
He was preceded in death by his father, Araste Fuselier; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Monday and continue at 9 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Monday evening.
Pallbearers will be James Fuselier, Toby Blissett, Tim Hance, Blake Fuselier, Charles Brignac, Gary Duroucher, and Jennifer Broussard.
Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Granger, Peter Dugas, Jimmy Blackburn, Gene Flash, Pete Fuselier, Scott Granger, Robert Fuselier, Leroy Anthony, Eric Fuselier, Jude Fuselier, Jimmy Fuselier and Accurate Employees.
