New Iberia - Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, December 5, 2007, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel, in New Iberia for Joseph "Joe" Grisiaffi, III, 37, who died Sunday, December 2, 2007 in a New Iberia hospital.
Interment will be in the Franklin Cemetery, with military honors.
Rev. Mark Derise will officiate the service.
Joe was a security guard with Accel Protection and Technologies. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy, including a tour to Somalia. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, racing cars and watching football, especially the New Orleans Saints.
Survivors include his wife, Bridget Savioe Grisiaffi of New Iberia; mother and step father, Faye and Bennie Schovajsa of New Iberia; sons, Alex Grisiaffi, Aaron Grisiaffi, and Andrew Grisiaffi all of New Iberia; step daughter, Cierra Savioe of Houma; step brother, Bennie Schovajsa, Jr. of Houston; step sister, Dee Ann Adams of Conroe, Texas; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Allen and Linda Savioe of Houma; godfather, Anthony Grisiaffi and wife Kimi of Jeanerette; godmother, Patti Kuebler of Bolin Green, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Grisiaffi, Jr.; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Grisiaffi, Sr, Mr. and Mrs. Beverly Boudreaux, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schovajsa.
A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday, from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. Visitation will continue Wednesday from 8:00 AM until time of service.
