Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 11, 2007, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Joseph P. Hebert, 88, who died Friday, June 8, 2007, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales.
Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1 in Breaux Bridge.
Joseph Hebert was a veteran, who proudly served our country during WWII in the U.S. Army. He was also a lifetime member of the Carpenter's Local No. 1098, in Baton Rouge.
Survivors include two daughters, Yvonne Harding and her husband, Gerald, of Baton Rouge, and Josie Thompson and her husband, Charles, of Gonzales; three brothers, Edwin, Clifton and Alcee Dumatrait, all of Breaux Bridge; one sister, Nola Hebert Usie, of Henderson. He is also survived and will be fondly remembered by his nine grandchildren, Ron Kelleher, Keli K. Tortorich, Leslie K. Landry, Blann Kelleher, Cydney Kelleher, Brittney H. Martin, Mellisa Harding, Dana Thompson, and Darryl Thompson; seven great grandchildren; and his special niece, Lee Ann Spicer and her husband, Brad, of Baton Rouge.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Yolande Berard Hebert; and one son, Donald J. Hebert.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to a loving caregiver, Linda D. Duplessis.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:30 a.m. on Monday and continue until time of service.
