Ranchos Palos Verdes, CA - Funeral services will be held at 11 a .m., on Wednesday, November 10, 2010, at Green Hills Mortuary Chapel, in Ranchos Palos Verdes, CA, for Joseph Jones, 88, who passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at his residence in Parks, LA. Interment will follow at Green Hills Cemetery in Ranchos Palos Verdes, CA. Born in Stark, Arizona on May 9, 1922 , Mr. Jones was retired with L.A. Water & Power Company, where he worked as an electrical engineer. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) and a longtime parishioner of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Huntington Beach, California. Survivors include his two sons, Mark Joseph Jones, Sr. and Gregory Thomas Jones; his daughter, Monika Williamson; one brother, David Jones; three sisters, Elizabeth Griffith, Ella Hodge, and Laura Mitchell; six grandchildren, Ian Jones, Teresa Theriot, Mark Jones, Jr., Nathan Williamson, Matthew Jones, and Madison Jones; and four great grandchildren, Zyron Melancon, Elise Theriot, Liam Theriot, and Maverick Jones. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Jones; a son, Michael Joseph Jones; and his parents, John and Librada Morales Jones. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Green Hills Mortuary Chapel from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
