Breaux Bridge A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 am, on Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Joseph Roland (Joe) LeBlanc, 75, who passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2015, at Courtyard Manor Nurse Care Center & Assisted Living.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Monday, and continue on Tuesday at 7:00 am until 9:30 am, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Monday, by Leon Blanchard.
Rev. Brian Webre will officiate at the Memorial Mass. Scriptures will be read by Shyanne Mellano and Toni LeBlanc. Gift Bearers will be Madison LeBlanc and Cristal Freeman. Honorary pallbearers will be Brad LeBlanc and Marcus Dumatrait.
Inurnment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 Mausoleum in Breaux Bridge.
Mr. LeBlanc honorably served his country in the United States Army, retiring with 43 years of service. He was a member of the Louisiana Military Officers Association and the United States of America Officers Association.
As a pastime, Joe enjoyed woodworking, reading, researching genealogy and working on his family tree, listening to music, and going camping. He enjoyed watching football and was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers. He loved his family and especially loved his puppy, Angel.
He is survived by two sons, John Randy LeBlanc and wife, Rochelle, of Carencro, and Joey Paul LeBlanc and wife, Annette, of Rayne; his daughter, Cristine Douet and husband, Leo, of Breaux Bridge; two brothers, John Gerald LeBlanc and wife, Geraldine, of Nina, and Terry "Snoopy" LeBlanc of Parks; two sisters, Charlene Champagne of Parks, and Carol Scrantz and husband, Paul "Tee" Scrantz, of Grand Anse; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren; and his sister-in-law, Linda Dugas LeBlanc.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Laura Mae Allemond LeBlanc; his parents, Bersie Marie Bijeaux LeBlanc and James Woodrow LeBlanc, Sr.; and his brother, James Woodrow LeBlanc, Jr.
