Henderson - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 pm on Saturday, April 13, 2013, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson, for Joseph Clarence "T.B." Robin, 69, who passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at Lafayette General Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 3:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Friday and continue at 7:00 am until 12:30 pm on Saturday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Friday. Fr. Allen Breaux will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. 'T.B.' was an automobile mechanic by trade. He enjoyed listening to French music, especially local musician, Dunice Theriot, and also enjoyed watching westerns on T.V. His favorite pastime was playing Dominos, Rummy, and Bourr, with family and friends. He loved his family and friends and was always willing to help anyone in need. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Betty A. Robin; his son, Brent J. Robin; his daughter, Marilyn R. Choplin; his brother, Homer Robin; and two grandsons, Joey and Dylan Choplin. He is preceded in death by his parents, Olide and Edea Gautreaux Robin; eight brothers, Mitchell Robin, Joseph Lee Robin, Howard Robin, Lawrence Robin, Cleopha Fisette, Wilber Robin, Darby Robin, and Clifton Robin; and six sisters, Margie Robin, Esore Robin, Eula Mae Fisette, Charmane Robin, Armine Robin, and Elvina Robin. Pallbearers will be Homer Robin, Dylan Choplin, Dalton Robin, Ronald Albert Jr., Richard Robin, and Floyd Huval. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry LeBlanc, Brent Robin, Johnny Robin, Leroy Blanchard, Roland Mouton, Samuel Champagne, Perry Angelle, and Timmy Courville. In lieu of flowers, the family will accept donations to assist in defraying funeral expenses. Pellerin Funeral Home of Henderson is in charge of arrangements.
