Arnaudville - Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Tuesday, February 26, 2008, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville, for Joseph Sidney "T-Red" Stelly, 69, who passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at Doctors Hospital in Opelousas. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Readers will be Leola Bernard and Jennifer Huval. Gift Bearers will be Christina Stelly, Natalie Domingue and Kelsie Stelly. Mr. Stelly was a leaver man on the offshore dredge boats. He enjoyed cooking, taking care of his pets and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Rose Savoie Stelly of Cecilia; his son, Joseph Evans "Big Joe" Stelly of Cecilia and David James "Meathead" Stelly and his wife Cecile Guidry Stelly of Cecilia; his daughter, Beverly Stelly Domingue and her husband, Ricky Domingue, Sr. of Cecilia; his grandchildren, Christina Stelly, Katie Jo Stelly, Natalie Domingue, Ricky Domingue, Jr., Kelsie Stelly and Jude Stelly and his great-grandchild, Alexia Dupuis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Bevla Stelly Bernard; his son, Joseph Stelly; his granddaughter, Kayla Evelyn Domingue; his sister, Milda Stelly Angelle and his grandparents who raised him, Evans and Marie Lagrange Stelly. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Monday and continue at 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday February 26, 2008. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Pallbearers will be Ophie Savoie, David Stelly, Jude Stelly, Curtis Savoie, Nolea Bernard, Ricky Domingue, Jr., Joseph Stelly, Ricky Domingue, Sr., and Michael Bernard. Pellerin Funeral Home of Arnaudville is in charge of arrangements.
