Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m., on Monday, March 15, 2010, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel, in Breaux Bridge for Joseph Ray T-Ray Theriot, 61, who died on Sunday, March 14, 2010 at his residence.
Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1, in Breaux Bridge.
Rev. Ricky Dor will conduct the funeral service and the readers will be Shirley Babb and Lisa Sonnier.
T-Ray honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1969 to 1971. He was a carpenter by trade and loved woodworking. He also enjoyed camping, traveling and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his loving wife of 37 years, Phyllis Dor Theriot, of Breaux Bridge; one son, Kyle Theriot and his wife, Jillian, of Pearland, TX; one daughter, Rachel Theriot, of Breaux Bridge; his mother, Enola Guidry Theriot, of Breaux Bridge; his brother, Preston John Theriot and his wife, Renella, of Breaux Bridge; two sisters, Rita Malorin and her husband, Lenny, of Breaux Bridge, and Gloria Terrell, of Carencro; and five grandchildren, Gage Boutin, Kelsea Boutin, Jayda Theriot, Ian Theriot, and Amelie Theriot.
He was preceded in death by his father, Preston Theriot; a brother, Rodney Theriot; and his brother-in-law, Harold Terrell.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:30 a.m. on Monday and continue until time of service.
Pallbearers will be Issac Tabor, Melvin Guidry, Mike Mauldwin, Beau Dor, Dana Dor, and Anthony Rabbit LeBlanc.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gage Boutin and Chance Myers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Acadiana, 2600 Johnston St., Ste. 200, Lafayette, LA 70503 or to the family for Masses.
