Breaux Bridge - Joseph Harschel Thomassee, 80, of Paducah, KY passed away Friday, Oct. 31, 2008 at 7:11 p.m. at Western Baptist Hospital. Funeral service will be held at the Milner Orr Funeral Home of Paducah on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008 at 12:00 noon with Rev. J. Patrick Reynolds officiating. Burial will take place at the St. Bernard Catholic Church Cemetery in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. Pellerin Funeral Home will be taking care of burial in Louisiana. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008 from 5-8 p.m. with prayers set for 6:00 p.m. at Milner Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. Mr. Thomassee was a native of St. Martin Parish, Louisiana and a devout Catholic. He was retired as a Port Engineer with the Midland Company. Survivors include his wife, Colene Heflin Thomassee; five sons, Phillip Thomassee and his wife, Sharon, of Lafayette, Kenneth Thomassee and his wife, Lana, of Tucson, AZ, David Thomassee and his wife, Polly, of Houma, Mark Thomassee and his wife, Myrna, of Paducah, KY, and Willie Thomassee and his wife, Lori, of St. Louis, MO; one brother, Harvey Thomassee, of Cecilia; nine grandchildren, Angie Dore', Dr. Eric Thomassee, Ross Thomassee, Kayla Thomassee, Danielle Jackson, Morgan Thomassee, Ryan Moyers, Anna Thomassee and Ron J. Sheets; and five great grandchildren, Abigal Dore', Olivia Dore', Joshua Jackson, Aaron Jackson and Jessica Jackson. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Renella Bergeron Thomassee; and his parents, Willie and Anna Angelle Thomassee.
