Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. , on Thursday, November 11, 2010 , at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Josephine Carriere Benoit, 59, who passed away on Monday, November 8, 2010 at St. Martin Hospital . Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia Rev. Michael Delcambre, pastor of St. Joseph, will conduct the services. Survivors include her husband, John C. 'T-Neg' Benoit of Cecilia; her brother, Francis Carriere of Arnaudville; her sisters, Mary Lou Guillory of Port Barre, Shirley Richard of Laplace, Verna Carriere Richard of Parks, Betty Richard of Arnaudville, Theresa LeBlanc of Texas and Rita Quebedeaux of Krotz Springs; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Renee and Azama Lagrange Carriere and her brothers Curley Wilton Carriere and Dudley J. Carriere. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 12 noon until 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday and continue at 8:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.
