Joy N. Broussard

St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Joy N. Broussard, 71, who passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2016, at Iberia Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 8:00 am until 12:30 pm on Tuesday. A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 am on Tuesday. Rev. Rusty P. Richard will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Mary Broussard and Kimberly Roseberry. Gift bearers will be Brylynn Romero and Aidan Hayes Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Joy loved to spend time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the type of person who would strike up a conversation with a complete stranger and by the end of the conversation they were best friends. Her personality and happiness would brighten up any room she would walk into. She is survived by her daughters, Jan (Jeff) Delahoussaye and Jill Broussard; grandchildren, Kristen (Shawn Knight) Delahoussaye, Britney (Jordan) Breaux, Kaitlyn Hebert, Dustin (Kimberly Roseberry) Hebert, Lauren Delahoussaye, Hannah (Tommy Dooley) Delahoussaye, and Ryan Broussard; great grandchildren, Aidan Hays, Brylynn Romero, Addison Hebert, Baylor Breaux, Averie Hebert, and Beckham Breaux; and her longtime companion, Ted Williams. She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Eula Nassans Sr.; infant daughter, Judy Lynn Broussard; brothers, John Nassans, Louis Nassans, Jr., and Robert Nassans; and sisters, JoAnn Broussard and Adrienne Touchet. Pallbearers will be Matthew Broussard, Garrett Broussard, Bud Nassans, Brian Touchet, Tommy Dooley, and Peck Broussard. Honorary pallbearers will be Dustin Hebert, Ryan Broussard, and Aidan Hays.
