She was a wonderful cook and loved to bake for her family and friends. Joyce had an interest in her Acadian heritage and a passion for genealogy in general, so much so, that her name was published in a book regarding her research and tracing of family history. Her most treasured times were those spent with her family, and most especially her adorable grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Jimmie P. Guilbeau, Sr. of Breaux Bridge; two daughters, Melissa Arceneaux and Michelle Guilbeau, both of Breaux Bridge; her son, Jimmie P. Guilbeau, Jr. of Norco; two brothers, Tony Theriot and his wife, Joyce, and Roy Theriot and his wife, Hazel, all of Breaux Bridge; two sisters, Mary Duplantis and her husband, Carroll, of New Iberia, and Ethel Broussard and her husband, Greg, of Breaux Bridge; 8 grandchildren, Alexis Patin Magee, Courtney Osborn Hebert, Hunter Osborn, Rayna Guilbeau, Lacy Patin, Logan Osborn, Claudia Guilbeau, and Hayden Guilbeau; and one great grandchild, Brentley Magee. She is preceded in death by her parents, Wade and Edna Latiolais Theriot; her brother, Walter Theriot; sister, Hazel Theriot; and sisters-in-law, Vida G. Patin and Diane E. Theriot. Pallbearers will be her son, Jimmie Guilbeau, Jr.; grandson, Logan Osborn; godsons, Timmy Theriot, Nathan Latiolais, and Chuck Patin; and her nephews, Chad Theriot, Jerry Duplantis, and Rylan Hebert. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandson, Hayden Guilbeau; great grandson, Brentley Magee; and her nephew, Michael Hebert. Pellerin Funeral Homeof Ceciliais in charge of arrangements.
