Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 11 :00 a.m., on Wednesday, September 15, 2010, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Judy Miller Douet, 61, who passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2010. Entombment will follow at St. Bernard Mausoelum No. 2 in Breaux Bridge . Ms. Douet was employed by the Iberia Parish Sheriff Department for 6 years. Prior to her employment there, she worked for the St. Martin Parish Sheriff Department for 24 years. In her free time she enjoyed painting and fishing. Survivors include her sons, Leo (Cris) Douet of Breaux Bridge and Marc (Holly) Douet of Houston, TX; her sister, Sandra (Johnny) Champagne of Breaux Bridge; her grandchildren, Thorne Douet, Devin Douet, Cristal Douet, Marcus Dumatrait and Ashlee Dumatrait. She was preceded in death by her parents, Constant and Tina Miller. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:30 a.m until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday and continue at 7 a .m. until 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Thorne Douet, Devin Douet, Marcus Dumatrait, Johnny Champagne, Scott Haydel and Steve Elledge. Honorary pallbearers will be Sheriff Louis Ackal, Charles Fuselier and Sid Hebert. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
