St. Martinville - A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, March 6, 2020, at Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville for Julie Victoria Kately , 85, who passed away on Monday, February 24, 2020. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of service on Friday. A rosary will be prayed at 10:30 am on Friday. Rev. Ed Degeyter will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will be held at a later date. Julie was a member of the United Beloved Society and a parishioner at Notre Dame Catholic Church. She enjoyed going to the casino, playing cards, cooking, dancing, and being with her family. Julie will be dearly missed. She is survived by her sons, Danny Kately, Sr. (Sidney Mae), Patrick Marks, Sr. (Dorothy), Clement Marks, James Marks, Jr. (Wendy), Hilton Marks, and Darrell Marks (Dana); daughters, Rosalind Marks and Veronica Nelson; 20 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Marks, Sr.; and parents, Sam Kately, Sr. and Mary Angelle Kately. Pallbearers will be Danny Kately, Patrick Marks, James Marks, Clement Marks, Hilton Marks, and Darrell Marks.
