Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Julie Hebert Norris, 65, who passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at her residence.
A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, from 8:30 am until 8:00 pm. It will continue on Thursday morning from 8:00 am until 10:00 am.
A Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 pm on Wednesday evening by Deacon Marcel "Butch" Hebert.
Father Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2.
Julie's unwavering faith was a cornerstone of her life. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Bernard Catholic Church, where she found solace and strength in her relationship with God. Her devout Catholicism permeated every aspect of her life, bringing her comfort and guiding her actions. Julie's commitment to her faith was an inspiration to all who knew her.
In her professional career, Julie served the St. Martin Parish School Board as a dedicated secretary for over 40 years. Outside of her work, Julie had a deep love for sports, particularly LSU football and baseball. One of Julie's greatest joys in life was embarking on cruises with her husband, Rocky, and their close-knit circle of friends.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister and friend, who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 41 years, Rocky Norris; son, Matthew Norris (Summer); daughter, Kristal Norris; brothers, Kim Hebert and Dyke Hebert (Annette); and her sisters, Lorie H. Vitte (Ricky), Connie H. Latiolais (Nathan), and Amie Hebert.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Francis Hebert and Marie Guilbeau Hebert; and her brother, Dana K. Hebert.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Norris, Kim Hebert, Dyke Hebert, Ryan Vitte, Nathan Latiolais, and Ray Dekerlegand.
