Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Saturday, September 21, 2019, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Julien James Soularie, 63, who passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2019.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Friday and continue on Saturday at 7:00 am until .
A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Friday.
Rev. Ugochukwu Jerome Cletus SSJ will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge.
Julien was a 1973 graduate of Breaux Bridge High School. He was very good at drawing architectural blueprints of homes. As a pastime, he enjoyed watching football and going fishing. Julien loved spending time with his family and friends and will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his son, Kerry James Bergeron of San Marcos, TX; step-son, Corey Bergeron of Lafayette; brothers, Ricky Soularie and wife Kim of Breaux Bridge and Wilbert Thomas Soularie and wife Sara of Lafayette; sisters, Elizabeth Stagg and husband Ivory, Jr. of Breaux Bridge and Michelle Thomas of Sunset; Godchildren, Paula Alexander of Breaux Bridge and Terrelle Noel of Lafayette; uncle, Claussey Soularie and wife Mary of Crowley; his aunt, Mary Noel of Breaux Bridge, sisters-in-law, Nancy Soularie of Breaux Bridge and Joyce Soularie of Jacksonville, AR; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert Soularie, Sr. and Theresa Edmond Soularie; brother, Wilbert Soularie, Jr.; maternal grandparents, Casimere and Rosalie Edmond; and paternal grandparents, Victor and Lorena Soularie.
