Henderson - A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, July 28, 2017, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Henderson for June Ellen Serrette Berg, 69, who passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at Lafayette General Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9:00 am until 9:00 pm on Thursday, and continue on Friday at 8:00 am until 10:00 am. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Thursday. Deacon Marcel "Butch" Hebert will officiate at the Funeral Service. June enjoyed doing a little bit of everything, but sewing for outside the home was her escape. She made all her clothes, created beautiful wedding dresses, and would alter anything for anyone. She was known to many as a kind, sweet and a loving person, who loved her family unconditionally. She had a smile that made every person feel loved. She is survived by her loving spouse of 52 years, Richard Berg; her daughter, Jeanne Berg of Henderson; a grandson, Colby Berg of CT; and her brother, Joseph "Buddy" Serrette and wife Paula of Orange, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Versie Stelly Serrette; her brother, Richard Serrette; and an infant sister.
