New Iberia - Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 30, 2009, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in New Iberia, for Karen "Kay" Blanchard, 50, who passed away on Monday, April 27, 2009 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Rev. Mark Derise will officiate. Born on August 8, 1958, Karen enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Survivors include her husband, Tim Blanchard of Corpus Christi; mother, Earline Breaux of New Iberia; daughters, Lacy Blanchard of Corpus Christi, Chantel Blanchard of Corpus Christi; sister, Sandra Migues and husband Todd of New Iberia; brothers, Aaron Breaux and wife Denise of New Iberia, Mark Breaux and wife Beverly of New Iberia, Pat Breaux and fianc Cindi of New Iberia; grandson, Camden Blanchard. She was preceded in death by father, Louis Breaux, Jr., grandparents, Louis Breaux, Sr., Corinne Breaux, Essie Delcambre, and Mae Delcambre. A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday from 9:30 AM until 8:30 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM Thursday.
