Kathleen Mullins Fowler

New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 AM on Friday, September 2, 2016, at St. Peter Catholic Church in New Iberia, for Kathleen M. Fowler, 72, who passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2016. A gathering of family and friends will be at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia on Thursday, September 1, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, with Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00PM. Rev. William Blanda will be the Celebrant. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in New Iberia. The loving wife of Jerry Fowler and a devoted mother and grandmother, Kathleen Mullins Fowler was born in New Iberia, LA on January 2, 1944 to the late Ray "Moon" Mullins and Eunice Plaisance Mullins. She was a retired educator and administrator with the Iberia Parish School Board with 20 years of service. She was an avid reader and loved traveling and animals. She will be deeply missed by family and friends. Mrs. Fowler is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Gerald "Jerry" L. Fowler, Sr.; a daughter, Ann Perez and husband David; three sons, Mike R. Fowler and wife Lori, Jerry Fowler, Jr. and wife Janet, and Creig Fowler and wife Lisa, all of New Iberia; a sister, Priscilla Roberts and husband Dr. Preston Roberts of Mena, AR; nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Mike Fowler, Jerry Fowler, Jr., Creig Fowler, David Perez Jr., Matthew Fowler, Logan Fowler, Devin Landry, Kamryn Meyers, and Kaiden Fowler. The family would like to extend heartfelt appreciation to Bridgeway Hospice, Synergy Home Care, Dr. Carl Ditch, Dr. James Hales, Dr. Stephen Wilt, Dr. Alan Appley, and Dr. Moses Kitakule for your care and compassion.
