Henderson - A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm, on Sunday, September 11, 2016, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Henderson for Kathryn Susan Gibson, 64, who passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2016. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm on Saturday, and continue on Sunday at 9:00 am until 3:00 pm. Pastor Toby Ryder will officiate the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Henderson. Mrs. Gibson was born on April 8, 1952 to Loren and Thelma Hedger Beals in Kokomo, Indiana. She had true love for the Renaissance Era and showed her love for this time period by attending the Renaissance Fair in Conroe, Texas every year with her family. During her free time Kathryn enjoyed doing various types of art, especially crafting. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Gary Wayne Gibson; sons, Marc Gibson and wife Samantha of Vidor, TX and Gregory Wayne Gibson and wife Sophia April Lynn of Arnaudville; daughters, Chelline Carter and husband Jerry of Lafayette, Kathryn Anne Gibson and companion Michael Dischler Jr. of St. Landry; brother, Mark Beals and wife Nancy of Spanish Fork, Utah; grandchildren, Daniel Carter, Nichole Carter, Christopher Carter, Matthew Carter, Kelsie Menard, Kaelyn Menard, Michael A. Dischler, III, Zoe Lynn Gibson, Piper Rae Gibson, Tori Gibson, Meghan Gibson, Loren Broussard, D.J. Gibson, and Aaron Roth; great grandchildren, Cody Brenke and Emmalyn Rae Cavalier; nephews, Chuck Gibson of Indian Bayou, Brandon Beals and wife Tiffanie of Utah, and Kyle Beals and wife Julie of Utah; and nieces, Shawna Iverson and husband Nephi and Sarah Beals, all of Utah. She was preceded in death by her parents; two grandchildren, Marcuis Wayne Gibson and Hunter Wayne Menard. Pallbearers will be Gregory Gibson, Marc Gibson, Michael Dischler, Jr., Matthew Carter, Daniel Carter, and Christopher Carter. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Anthony Dischler III and Jerry Carter. Memorial Contributions can be made to the family to help defray funeral cost.
