New Iberia - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 31, 2016, at The Glorious Church Worship Center, 1216 David Street, in New Iberia for Kendall Dressel, Sr., 57, who passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2016, in Broussard.
Interment will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery.
Pastors Kenneth and Stephaine Leleux will officiate.
A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 8:00 AM until 10:30 AM.
A native of New Iberia, Mr. Dressel was born on September 11, 1959 and was a longtime area resident. He worked in the oilfield for many years and was the owner of Kendall's Lawn Service. Mr. Dressel was active in the Jail Ministry through the Glorious Church Worship Center, and was also active in the Interfaith Prison Ministry.
Survivors include his wife, Priscilla Tate Dressel of Broussard; father, Russel Dressel of New Iberia; brother, Kavin Dressel and wife Sandy of New Iberia; sister, Robin Dressel of New Iberia; children, Kendall J. Dressel, Jr. of New Iberia, Katie Lynn Dressel of New Iberia, Adam Marks of Lafayette, Lori Ann Marks of Baton Rouge, Annie Rae Marks Viator and husband Hank of Maurice; grandchildren, Sophie Bourg, Gabrielle Bourg, Avery Dark, Hailey Viator, Heidi Viator, Andrew Marks, Corbin Thibodeaux; wife's parents, Wilson and Bernice Tate of Sunset.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rose Boudreaux Dressel.
Pallbearers will be Kavin Dressel, Kendall Dressel, Jr. Adam Marks, Hank Viator, Ronnie Dressel, and Eddie DeCourt.
