Kenneth James Bouy New Iberia - Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, February 16, 2017, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Kenneth James Bouy, 75, who passed away on Friday, February 10, 2017, in New Iberia. A gathering of family and friends will be at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Wednesday, with Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Thursday at 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM. Rev. Buddy Breaux will be the Celebrant. Inurnment will be on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Memorial Park Cemetery in New Iberia. A native and resident of New Iberia, Kenneth James Bouy was born on August 15, 1941 to the late Emile Sr. and Ida O'Brien Bouy. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army, and was a member of the American Legion for 28 years. He was a machinist for 30 years, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time with the kids and grandkids. He was a longtime member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus for 40 years. Mr. Bouy is survived by his loving wife, Mary Nell David Bouy; two daughters, Inga Romero and husband Rocky, and Rhonda Suire and husband Jody, all of New Iberia; four sons, David Bouy, Sr. and wife Kristen of Metairie, Robert Bouy and wife Danielle of Virginia, James Bouy and wife Jennifer of Wisconsin, and Brent Bouy and wife Alicia of Youngsville; 17 grandchildren, Ashley Romero Nelson, Tiffany Romero Stevens, Micah Romero, Brody Romero, Emma Bouy, Victor Bouy, Jr., Olivia Bouy, Amber Bouy, Amaya Bouy, Amalee Bouy, James Bouy, Joie Bouy, Joshua Bouy, Tyler Suire, Jodi Suire, Braelynn Bouy, and Avery Bouy; six great grandchildren, Aidyn and Dylan Nelson, Gavin, Gabrielle, and Grace Maturin, and Lukas Romero; and another great grandchild on the way, Sadie Romero. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Emile Bouy, Jr. and J.C. Bouy.
