Kenneth Broussard

St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 13, 2017, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Kenneth J. Broussard, 66, who passed away on Monday, July 10, 2017, at Lafayette General Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 10:30 am until 10:00 pm on Wednesday, and continue on Thursday at 8:00 am until 10:30 am. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Wednesday. Rev. Rusty P. Richard will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial. Readers will be Jennifer Broussard and Chrissey Lynn Clark. Gift bearers will be Landon Derouen, Kaelynn Derouen, and Brittany Schouest. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Kenneth was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and friend. He was a gentle and kind man, always was good to others and there for anyone in need. Kenneth was a horseman. He enjoyed working cattle, baling hay and taking his children to rodeos. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving spouse Joan Broussard; son, Kenny "Blue" Broussard and wife Angie; daughters, Laura Collins, Cindy Hulin and husband Everett and Sarah Anne Broussard; father, Fulton J. Broussard, Sr.; brothers, Steven Broussard and wife Connie and Robert Broussard; sister, Annette Schouest; grandchildren, Landon Derouen, Kaelynn Derouen, Ellie Derouen, Lilly Broussard, Elaine Hulin and Jude Broussard; and his godchildren, Ben Broussard and David Broussard. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elise Broussard; brothers, Fulton "F.J." Broussard, Jr. and Chris Broussard. Pallbearers will be Ryan Broussard, Ben Broussard, Lee Schouest, Seth Schouest, Trent Broussard and David Broussard. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Broussard, Kenny Barras, Mike Buillard and Al Landry.
