Kenneth Charles Capritto

January 25, 1971 — September 16, 2019

Broussard - Funeral Service will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Monday, September 23, 2019, at Our Savior's Church in Broussard, LA for Kenneth Charles Capritto, 48, who passed away on Monday, September 16, 2019, in Houston, Tx. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9:00 am until 9:00 pm on Sunday and continue on Monday at 7:00 am until 10:30 am. Pastor Randy Dugas will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Ken was many things to many people. Being raised as the youngest boy in a family of fifteen siblings, he developed a strong sense of family and the true meaning of the word brother. Whether one was a brother, sister, or an in-law, friend, colleague, child, adult or complete stranger, they would be treated with care and respect. Ken brought joy and happiness everywhere he went, and his infectious laughter always raised people's spirits. He was a curious and adventurous man that left St. Martinville to explore New York City for seven years and for the past six years Ken lived in Houston, Texas. His love of LSU sports brought him much joy. Ken was also a wake surfer, ping pong player and an avid snow skier. He loved the game of volleyball at a very young age and fishing and hunting as a young boy with his Dad, brothers, brothers-in-law, and nephews. In his workplace on a Deepwater Drillship, Ken will be remembered as a team player who always had his crew’s back. Amongst his friends he was so quick to offer a helping hand in times of need, or a laugh in times of stress. Ken's most precious gift was his relationship with young nieces and nephews, which to a child is based on respect, coaching and a fun Uncle to be around. Ken loved to travel and explore and had many opportunities traveling abroad and domestic with many of his siblings. His sibling trips with his fourteen siblings were just some of his fondest memories. Ken will be sorely missed by all those lives he touched in his unique spirit. He is survived by his loving sisters, Angel Champagne and husband Todd of St. Martinville, Christine Hebert and husband Edward of St. Martinville, Brenda Boggs and husband Peter of St. Martinville, Elizabeth Hunt and husband Roger of Houston, TX, Catherine Capritto of St. Martinville, Gayle Landry and husband Darrell of Lafayette, LA, Linda Guidry and husband Richard of Breaux Bridge; brothers, Troy Capritto of Youngsville, Matthew Capritto of St. Martinville, Chris Capritto and wife Lori of St. Martinville, Terry Capritto and wife Susan of St. Martinville, Joseph Capritto of St. Martinville, Patrick Capritto and wife Dina of Broussard, Rosario Capritto, Jr. and wife Mattie of Parks. He was preceded in death by his parents; Rosario Paul Capritto, Sr. and Lilly Mae Picard Capritto; brother, Troy Matthew Capritto; and sister, Jacqueline Capritto. Pallbearers will be all of his seven brothers. Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville, 112 New Market St., St. Martinville, LA 70582, (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
