St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Kenneth Eaglin II, 18, who passed away on Friday, May 18, 2018. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Monday and continue on Tuesday at 7:00 am until 9:30 am. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Monday. Rev. Michael Sucharski, SVD will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Mary Alice Batiste, Kyndal Lindon, Angel Parker, and Lovina Gedward. Gift bearers will be Tylasha Thompson, Madison Jacob and Anyiah Benjamin. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery in St. Martinville. Kenneth was a student of St. Martinville Sr. High School where he played football and was a band member. He worked at Walk-On's in Broussard and enjoyed riding his 4-wheeler, playing GTA online with his friends, and spending time with his brothers and sisters. Kenneth will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his mother, Shontell Valsin-Quinney and husband Mark of St. Martinville; father, Kenneth Eaglin of Lafayette; brothers, Chandler, Chance, and Chase Quinney; sisters, Danielle Sanchez and Carrington Quinney; grandparents, Julia Eaglin of Lafayette and Fred and Patricia Wesley of New Iberia; great grandfather, Clifton Chaisson of Lafayette; godparents, Lorena and Tony Hebert of Lafayette; aunts, Carla Valsin, Tammy Valsin, both of St. Martinville, Kimberly Chaisson, Stephanie Johnson and husband Jefferson, both of Lafayette, JaQuanda Quinney, and Antoinette Powell and husband Preston, both of Arlington, TX; and uncle, David Quinney and wife Kenya of Flint, MI. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Francis and Mary Valsin; great grandmother, Hilda Isadore; and his aunt, Francine Valsin. Pallbearers will be Jalen Kelly, Devin Broussard, Daa'ron Marshall, Malik Chaisson, Brandon Benjamin, and Deion'dre Benjamin. Honorary pallbearers will be Jamaal Parker, Courtney Dugas, and David Quinney.
