Kerry James Brasseaux

Breaux Bridge - Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, on Thursday, January 29, 2015, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge, for Kerry James Brasseaux, 44, who passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at Lafayette General Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Wednesday, and continue on Thursday at 7:00 am until 1:45 pm, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge. A rosary will be prayed at on 7:00 pm on Wednesday. Rev. David Broussard will officiate at the Funeral Service. Entombment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Kerry made his living driving trucks and always expressed his love for that kind of work. He enjoyed playing the lottery, cooking, dancing and listening to French music, going to car and truck shows, and spending time with his family, friends and his beautiful daughter, Sadi, whom he loved with his heart and soul. He is survived by his father, Wilton "T-Boy" Brasseaux of Breaux Bridge; his daughter, Sadi Brasseaux of Breaux Bridge; two brothers, Kipp Brasseaux and wife, Lisa, of Breaux Bridge, and Kim "Shakey" Brasseaux and wife Laura; and his sister, Tammy Fuselier and husband, Steve, of St. Martinville. He is preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Guidry Brasseaux; and his grandmothers, Cecile LeBlanc and Alta Guidry. Pallbearers will be Kipp Brasseaux, Kim "Shakey" Brasseaux, Lee Brasseaux, Derrick Brasseaux, Wil Carlisle, and Marshall Robin. Honorary pallbearer will be his godchild, Cody Carlisle.
