Kevin "Big Kev" Bailey

Lafayette - A private memorial service will be held at a later date, honoring the life of Kevin "Big Kev" Bailey, 68, who passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2024.

Kevin was born on December 24, 1956, in Wichita, KS. He had a successful career in the oil field working his way up the ladder from field hand to Regional Manager and Director of Surface Systems as just a couple of his achieved titles. These roles provided opportunities for him and his family to travel across the country. His professional journey was characterized by hard work and commitment, serving as a testament to his strong work ethic and leadership skills.

Outside of his professional life, Kevin was a passionate bodybuilder and an avid golfer. He found joy and fulfillment in these hobbies. However, the true light in his life came from his family. He cherished his time with them and took immense pride in his role as a husband, father, and grandfather. He will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Jill J. Bailey; children, Chad Chase Bailey and his wife, Racheal Bailey and Ashley Bailey Lege and her husband, Thomas; and his grandchildren, Mila Rae Bailey, Scarlett James Bailey, and Lira Grace Lege.

He is preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Aeby; mother, Mara Del Courser Bailey; grandmother, Iva Courser; his step-father, Charles Bailey; and one brother, Kent Aeby.
