Kim was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville, who attended Mass faithfully. He loved camping at Cajun Palms, working out at the gym, listening to live music, cooking and entertaining family and friends. Kim, known to many as the Chicken Man, had many beloved chickens. He raised and hatched them in an incubator and had as many as 80 chickens in his care. Kim will be remembered for his big blue eyes, sense of humor, that clean-cut style of his - he never had a hair out of place, and he even fixed his hair to go and workout at the gym. He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Nikki Dugas; sons, Dru Dugas (Karley, wife) and Ty Dugas (Mary); daughters, Brooke Dugas and Kenzie Dugas; brothers, Willis Dugas Jr. (Dewanna) and Glenn Dugas (Melissa); sisters, Darleen Vaughn (Leonard) and Carmen Dugas; and his grandchildren, Bentley Richard and Easton Dugas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Melba Rebert Dugas; father-in-law, Francis X. Latiolais; brother, Dale Dugas, Sr.; and his niece, Gracie Boutte.
Pallbearers will be Dru Dugas, Ty Dugas, Bentley Richard, Easton Dugas, Jayce Latiolais, Dana Latiolais, Lenny Vaughn, and Karl Vann.
