Kimberly LeBlanc

St. Martinville - Kim Leblanc, 63, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024, at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center. 

Born on October 14, 1960 in Walnut Creek, California, Kim came into this world two months early with a fighting toughness that lasted until her very last breath. She always fought for who she loved and what she believed in.

Kim moved to Louisiana in 2000, where she met the love of her life, Lee A. Leblanc. They had been together for 21 years, 19 of which they were married. Kim and Lee shared a love that was worth the wait!

Kim was a loving and devoted mother of three, Duane, Nicole, and Jennifer, and a loving and devoted grandmother of two, Talia and Kaylee. Kim was the second oldest of seven children. She loved her brothers and sisters like they were her own, rather than her siblings! Family meant everything to Kim.

Kim is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Lee Leblanc; daughters, Nicole Katrones, and Jennifer Mire and husband Gary; granddaughters, Talia and Kaylee; brother, Dwight "Artie" Needham and wife Leeann; sisters, Christina Nowell, Dorie Needham, and Robin Needham; nephews, Shane Spinelli, Scottie Needham, Brandon Needham, and Dustin Tweedy; niece, Amanda Needham; great nephews, Landon and Derek; and great nieces, Audrina, Destiny and Annabella.

Kim was preceded in death by her son, Duane Fussell; parents, Dwight and Sonya Needham; brother, Robert Needham; sister, Sherry Needham; and grandparents, Arlis and Dories Smith and William and Roberta Needham.

Per her request and in true Kim fashion, she demanded that a funeral was not to be held, but instead, a Celebration of Life, which will be held on Saturday May 18, 2024, at the home of her daughter, Jennifer and son-in-law, Gary in Breaux Bridge, La.
