Kipp Brasseaux

Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge for Kipp Brasseaux, 57, who passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center.

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until the service at 2:00 PM.

A rosary will be prayed at 1:00 PM on Tuesday.

Deacon Marcel "Butch" Hebert will officiate at the funeral service. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia.

Kip Brasseaux was born on May 30, 1965, to the late Wilton and Evelyn Brasseaux. He served his country in the United States Navy. Kipp was a welder in the oilfield for many years until his retirement. Football was one of his biggest passions, as well as, doing yard work, gardening, and helping his elderly neighbors. Kipp cherished the time spent with his grandchildren, whether it was trips to the zoo, parks, or going trick or treating, he loved every minute. He also enjoyed spending holidays with family and barbecuing with his siblings. Kipp was known for his famous chili pie that he loved to cook for his family. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

He is survived by wife of 26 years, Lisa Brasseaux; sons, Christopher Brasseaux (Kendra) and Tyler Brasseaux; daughters, Kayla Brasseaux and Kristy Ducharme (Elizabeth); grandchildren, Noelle Rine, Jordan Brasseaux and Taysom Brasseaux; sister, Tammy Fuselier (Steve, Jr.); brother, Kim Brasseaux (Laura); and godchildren, Lee Brasseaux and Carson Fuselier.

He is preceded in death by parents, Wilton and Evelyn Guidry Brasseaux; brother, Kerry Brasseaux; former wife, Veronica "Shawee" Brasseaux; step-son, Tyler Johnson; paternal grandparents, Alan and Cecile Brasseaux; and maternal grandparents, Alta and Alexander Guidry.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Brasseaux, Derrick Brasseaux, Lee Brasseaux, Carson Fuselier, Steve Fuselier, Jr., and Kim Brasseaux.

Honorary pallbearer will be Jordan Brasseaux.
