Kurt 'Smiley' Delahoussaye

New Iberia - Funeral services will be held at 6:30 PM on Friday, December 30, 2016, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Kurt "Smiley" James Delahoussaye, 59, who passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2016, in New Iberia. Interment will be at a later date. Rev. Mario Romero will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A native and lifelong resident of Iberia Parish, Kurt was born on June 18, 1957, and was a 1976 graduate of New Iberia Senior High. He was a surveyor for C.H. Fenstermaker and Associates for over 38 years, and his hobbies included hunting, fishing, carpentry, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Kurt especially loved being at his camp, and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his sons, Jake Paul Delahoussaye of St. Martinville, Jared James Delahoussaye of New Iberia; father, Vernick Delahoussaye of New Iberia; sisters, Gail Delahoussaye of New Iberia, Darlene Delahoussaye of New Iberia; brothers, Kenneth Delahoussaye of New Iberia, Keith Delahoussaye and wife Jeanne of New Iberia; aunt, Delores Migues Thibodeaux and husband Kenneth of New Iberia. He was preceded in death by mother, Vernice Migues Delahoussaye, and an aunt, Dorothy "Dot" Migues.
