Catahoula - A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, October 14, 2016, at St. Rita Catholic Church in Catahoula for Kyle Isaac Taylor, 49, who passed away on Monday, October 10, 2016, at Bristol Regional Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the Dion Hall in Catahoula from 4:30 pm on Thursday until time of service on Friday. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Thursday. Rev. Richard Fabre will officiate at the Funeral Service. Readers will be Jenna Wiltz and Caleb Finney. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Catahoula. Kyle enjoyed fishing, watching wrestling, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends. On his many travels, he was referred to as "The Mascot". He was admired by many and will be remembered as a kind and loving person. Kyle will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his mother, Maudry Saucier of St. Martinville; sisters, Jacquelyn Smith of Catahoula, and Carmen Taylor Richard and husband Steve of Youngsville; stepsisters, Sue Degeyter and husband Bobby of Leonville, Ruth Dupr and husband Cecil of Plaisance, Diane Knott and husband Errol of Cecilia, and Anna Gayle Bourque of Arnaudville; stepbrother, Howard John Saucier, Jr. of Leonville; nephews, Ricky Smith, Jr., Jacques Smith, Steve Richard, Jr. and wife Reagan, and Alton Richard; nieces, Roxy (Smith) Finney, Minnie (Smith) Landry, and Rebecca Richard; great nephews, Caleb Finney, Keyghan Smith, and Cameron Smith; and great niece, Aubrey Smith. He was preceded in death by father, Alton John Taylor, Sr.; brother, Alton John Taylor, Jr.; stepfather, Howard John Saucier, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Antoine and Mabel (Dugas) Bourque; and paternal grandparents, Adelma and Octavie Taylor. Pallbearers will be Steve Richard, Jr., Alton Richard, Jacques Smith, Ricky Smith Jr., Bill Finney, and Trevor Landry. Honorary pallbearers will be Kelly Bourque, Ryan Bourque, Keke Bourque, Isaac Bourque, Bryan Longman, and Matthew Theriot. Pellerin Funeral Home (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
