New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Nativity of Our Lady of Catholic Church in New Iberia for Kylie Renee Stevens, 30, who died Wednesday, March 15, 2013, in New Iberia. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Rev. Edward Duhon will be the Celebrant. Les Lancon and Misti Thorne will proclaim the readings. Gift Bearers include Cassie Carlin and Hanah Thorne. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 2:30 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM Friday. Visitation will continue Saturday from 8:00 AM until 1:15 PM. Kylie is survived by her parents, Kyle 'Tubby' and Brenda Touchet Stevens of New Iberia; grandmother, Barbara G. Touchet of New Iberia; brothers, Jason Stevens of New Iberia, Ross Stevens and wife Simone of Broussard; nephews, Gavyn Stevens, Landon Stevens, Chase Stevens; her special nurse, Tricia Romero; and her caregivers, Marla Johnson and Tanya Sundberg. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James W. Touchet, Irvin J. Stevens, and Shirley Romero Stevens. Pallbearers will be Ross Stevens, Jason Stevens, Brett Carlin, Grant Thorne, Jeff Lancon, and Todd Derouen. Honorary pallbearers include her nephews, Gavyn Stevens, Landon Stevens, and Chase Stevens. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Janice Nugent, Dr. Moses Kitakule, Dr. Jibran Atwi, and to everyone who has loved and cared for Kylie throughout the years.
