L. Carroll Theriot

Breaux Bridge - Louis Carroll Theriot, 64, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge. Carroll worked closely with his good friend and founder of Food Net, Marcelle Citron, and was chosen by her to be the first director of food net in 1963. He expressed a great love for movies, music and his computer. Carroll served as a Eucharistic Minister and a reader at Village du Lac in Lafayette for many years. Donations in his memory may be made to, Food Net of Lafayette, P. O. Box 53997, Lafayette, LA 70505. Survivors include his brother, John Theriot, of New Iberia; three sisters, Fabiola Theriot Albert, of New Iberia, Anastasia Theriot Roan, of Mississippi, and Genevieve Theriot Crochet, of New Iberia; and his special friends, Carmen Roebuck, who cared for him for the last 25 years, and Marcelle Citron and Mary Ellen Citron; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Octave and Stella Landry Theriot; and three nephews, Emile "Peachie" Crochet, Jr., Kevin Theriot, and Keith Crochet. Pellerin Funeral Home (337.332.2111) is in charge of arrangements.
