New Iberia - A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM, on Thursday, February 19, 2009, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, for Larry Delahoussaye, 63, who passed away on Monday, February 16, 2009 in Mamou.
Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Rev. Salvino Primor will be the Celebrant.
Larry enjoyed music, playing cards, wrestling and watching scary movies. But most of all his passion was training and racing horses.
Survivors include his sisters, Margaret Angelle and companion Ferrell Comeaux, Judy Bourque and husband Joe, of New Iberia; nephews, Casey Derouen, of Houston , Eldridge Roscoe" Derouen and wife Lorri, of Baton Rouge; nieces, Nicole Buteau and husband Cory, of New Iberia, Natashia Gambrill and husband Chad, of St. Martinville, Brandy Hoofard and fianc Brett Comeaux, of New Iberia.
He was preceded in death by his wife Sally Romero Delahoussaye and infant son; parents, Kossuth and Cecile Romero Delahoussaye.
Pallbearers will be Joe Bourque, Casey Derouen, Chad Gambrill, Ferrell Comeaux, Cory Buteau and Brett Comeaux.
A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday, February 19, 2009 from 8:30 AM until 1:30 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 9:00 AM.
