Larry McCracken

New Iberia Memorial services will begin at 8:00 AM Friday, September 12, 2014, until closing, at The Blue Gator Saloon, 3216 South Curtis Lane, in New Iberia, for Larry Earl McCracken, Sr., 64 who died Tuesday, September 9, 2014 in New Iberia. Larry was born on December 27, 1949, in San Antonio, Texas, to Davis Earl and Rose Lee Benton McCraken. He served our country in the U.S. Army, as a helicopter pilot, during the Vietnam War, and was the owner of the Blue Gator Saloon in New Iberia. Survivors include his son, Larry Earl McCracken, Jr. of San Antonio, Texas; sister, Jo Dell McCracken and husband Paul Moravits of San Antonio, Texas; four grandchildren, John Broussard, Nicky C. McCracken, Wyntr R. McCracken, Apple R. McCracken; and numerous friends who were like family to him.
