Larry Solari

Parks - A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am, on Monday, March 25, 2013, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Parks, for Larry Louis Solari, 68, who passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home in St. Martinville from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm on Sunday and continue at 8:00 am until 9:00 am on Monday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Sunday. Father Michael Champagne will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Music will be provided by Patrick Melancon. Gift bearers will be Alex Gachassin and Maddie Solari. Entombment will follow at St. Michael Mausoleum in St. Martinville. Mr. Solari honorably served in the US Marine Corps. He was a graduate of University of Southwestern Louisiana, with a Bachelors degree in chemical engineering. He was employed as a chemical engineer in the oil and gas industry. He is survived by his sons, Lonny (Carolyne) Solari, Chad (Lauren) Solari; his daughter, Laurie (Mark) Gachassin; 6 grandchildren; his sisters, Betty Trail, Mattie Barras, Dot Finch, and Lois Parro. He is preceded in death by his wife, Diana Solari; parents, Louis and Celine Roy Solari. Pallbearers will be Ben Potier, Kirk Brown, Donnie Babin, Ronnie Guidroz, Jean Dugas and Rip White Pellerin Funeral Home of St Martinville 112 New Market St., St. Martinville, Louisiana, is in charge of arrangements.
