Laura Bordelon Borel

Catahoula - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at St. Rita Catholic Church in Catahoula for Laura Bordelon Borel, 83, who passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2017. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Dion Hall from 1:30 pm until 10:00 pm on Friday, and continue on Saturday at 7:00 am until 10:45 am. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Friday. Rev. Richard Fabre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Catahoula. Laura was born September 25, 1934 to the late Kernis and Felecie Olivier Bordelon. She enjoyed reading, cooking, and spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her sons, Terrell and wife Glenda Patin Borel, Marty and wife Angela Romero Borel, and Blair and wife Jessica Theriot Borel; her grandchildren, Tandy Borel, Tega Borel, Emery Doucet, and Jensie Borel; and hergreat grandchildren, Tailey Begnaud, Evie Miller, Colton Miller, Kinsley Doucet, Kole Landry, Tristan Guilbeau, and Caleb Guilbeau. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Borel; and her parents. Pallbearers will be Seth Landry, Tim Guilbeau, Timmy Patin, Dusty Doucet, Ricky Dugas, and Sim Courville.
