Loreauville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 13, 2021, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Loreauville for Laura Broussard Antoine, 69, who passed away on Wednesday, March, 3, 2021 at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Friday, and continue on Saturday at 8:00 am until 10:00 am.
Entombment will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Loreauville.
A lifelong resident of Loreauville, Laura Broussard Antoine was born on July 10, 1951. She was an active member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, participating in the choir, usher board, decorating committee, food pantry, and church fair cooking committee. She was also a member of the Red Hatters and Crystal Silhouette Social Club. Her hobbies included floral designing, cooking, spending time with family, playing cards, vacationing, helping others and shopping. She will be deeply missed.
Ms. Antoine is survived by a daughter, Amanda (Kenny) Antoine-Simmons of Lafayette; two sons, Alton (Constance) Antoine, Jr. of New Iberia, and Theo (Elauna) Antoine of Newllano; two brothers, Woodrow Broussard, Jr. of St. Martinville, Paul (Pamela) Broussard of Baton Rouge; four sisters, Norma (Don) Vital of Loreauville, Gwendolene (Bernell) Nora of Loreauville, Monica Broussard of New Iberia, Myra (Gerald) Anthony of Loreauville; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Woodrow Wilson Broussard, Sr.; mother, Esther Willis Broussard; maternal grandparents, George and Antoinette Willis; paternal grandparents, Walter and Ida Broussard; and a grandson, Kenneth Kaylon Jacob.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Anthony, Austin Antoine, Derwin Antoine, Dravis Polk, Cameron Broussard, Charles Francois, Thaddeus Antoine, and Traylon Vital.
