Laura 'Annie Solomon

St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Laura Annie Solomon, 57, who passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at her residence. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville from 7:00 am until 10:00 am on Saturday. A rosary will be prayed at 9:00 am on Saturday. Rev. Michael Sucharski will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at House of Love Cemetery in St. Martinville. Laura enjoyed dancing, cooking, socializing, working in her yard, and decorating the front of her house. She will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor that brought laugher to all. She is survived by her parents, Dormas and Juanita Solomon, Sr. of St. Martinville; daughter, Rennet Ebow and husband Reginald of St. Martinville; sisters, Jennifer Solomon and Patricia Solomon, both of St. Martinville; brother, Dormas Solomon, Jr. and wife Paulette of St. Martinville; grandchild, Diamoni'que Bre'ona Solomon of St. Martinville; nieces, Catina Solomon, Ledwina Charles, and Amaya Simpson, all of St. Martinville; nephew, Wayne Roberts of Youngsville; and her aunt Louella Lewis of New Iberia. She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Walter Andres and Gussie Ester; uncles, Walter Andres, Jr. and Aaron Andres; aunts, Bessie Johnson, Sarah Norbert, Ruth Chargois, Marvella Gerard, Lena Batiste, and Mary Livingston; and a loving friend, Hamilton Robertson. Pallbearers will be Cory Batiste, David Wilturner, Sylvester Leon, Tommy Batiste, David Willis, Sr., and Bobby Joseph.
